Lamb Production
In July, the Company continued to build the flock size, by acquiring 1800 ewes from Western and Central New South Wales. These ewes are in lamb and are scheduled to lamb in approximately 10 weeks. They are well-settled on site, and are gaining weight as scheduled.
A large number of ewes acquired in June have started to lamb, with average lambing rate at 135% as of 31 July. More ewes are expected to lamb in the next few weeks.
There is a window of time when more ewes in lamb and studs can be purchased in August. For the short term, this remains the Company’s preferred use of funds.
